Both are known for their street-style shoes, while the other brings athletic performance to styles that were once associated with menswear. If you look deeper, however, you’ll see that there is some common ground. For example, the admiration for nostalgia and meticulous attention to detail.
With those commonalities in mind, the two have teamed up once again for a fresh take on the FJ Premiere Series, but this time working with two new models to honor next week’s THE PLAYERS Championship.
The shoes are constructed from rich, off-white Pittards Leather. The derby style Field has simple lines and an open face. Wilcox Its oxford-like cap toes, perforations, and traditional saddle sections are a highlight of its oxford-like look. Buscemi then adds metallic gold accents to the PLAYERS Championship heritage. These accents can be found on FJ logos as well as metal heel caps and speckled midsoles. Rounding out the unique detailing are custom insoles with “FJ by Jon Buscemi” branding.
The Premiere Series line features performance features like a VersaTrax+ outsole and a laser-fit heel. Look for the Field and Wilcox to drop soon FootJoy’s website March 9th, THE PLAYERS opened.
