Munich store Riviera Records suffers warehouse flood, declares flash sale · News ⟋ RA
  • Throughout July, the shop shall be promoting round 3,000 vinyl at discounted costs.
  • Munich store Riviera Records is having a flash sale following a flood in its warehouse in May.

Some tools and round 3,000 vinyl had been broken within the incident, attributable to water developing via drains after heavy rain. The store’s insurance coverage coverage will not cowl any of the prices, so the group is recouping losses by promoting the affected inventory at a reduction. The so-called Fluid Sale will run in-store all through July.

“This not only helps us minimise the damage but also provides the community with an opportunity to purchase records at a low price,” founder David Hornung instructed Resident Advisor. “The records that are beyond use have already been sorted out, so it’s mainly just records without covers.”

Members of the neighborhood can even assist Riviera Records by donating through PayPal. The store opened in October 2020.
