Rocky’s Matcha has partnered with Echo Park Pottery’s Peter Shire for a collaboration that celebrates the artwork of consuming matcha whereas nodding to the vibrancy of LA and its artwork scene.

For this collaboration, Peter Shire centered on chawans, a sort of tea bowl that’s particularly used at tea ceremonies in East Asia. Exuding a playful vibe that Shire is thought for, these vibrantly hand-crafted bowls are doused in colourful splatters of paint. The design additionally attracts inspiration from Sam Francis’ summary expressionist work, whereas the ceramic methods used pay refined homage to Adrian Saxe’s works.

Limited to 100 items and out there in two sizes, the Echo Park Pottery for Rocky’s Matcha chawans is priced from $250 – $300 USD. Starting June 27, they are going to be shoppable via Rocky’s Match’s webstore. The chawans will even be out there in restricted numbers at a bodily pop-up at Tom Sachs Bodega from June 29 – 30.
